Election Commission giving its nod to Gujarat state government

“The EC communicated this to our office this afternoon, and we, in turn, have informed the government about this development,” Additional Chief Electoral Officer (ACEO), Gujarat, Ashok Manek told Newsline this evening.Pensioners across Gujarat had early this month not only threatened to launch an agitation, but also vote against the ruling BJP in the coming Lok Sabha elections, if the government failed to implement the Pay Commission’s recommendations for the retired bureaucrats.
